In the late Summer of 2014, I stepped out of my comfort zone to further my studies in a foreign country. Boy was I excited. It has always been my dream to study abroad. I thought I can finally be independent and do whatever I want. I thought being away from home means more freedom. I thought I was going to have lots of fun and travel to lots of places.
But the truth is, I miss home a lot. With all the things that had happened and all the stuffs that are still going on, I just feel so exhausted? Tired of all the bullshit. I used to try so hard to please everyone, but now I just want to be a little selfish and ignore the rest of the world.
So, chilling by the beach has become one of my favourite pastime. Because I could sit by the beach for hours and enjoy my antisocial time all by myself, not having to talk to anyone at all.
I am just a normal person trying my best to complete my studies so that I can go home and be with my parents and my twin brother.
Ok, rant is over. Now enjoy some photos taken last year when I came to the UK for the first time in my life. And hopefully on my graduation day, my parents will finally be able to visit the country for the first time.
Old school sewing machine. I can imagine my mum going crazy over this. She loves antique stuffs.
Flowers at the Old Steine garden.
The fountain.
Random dandelions.
Unpacking my stuffs at my house last year. I felt quite sad to move out of it cause it was a lovely house. Oh well.
AIDS memorial sculpture, Tay.
Walking around at night.
Taking the shortcut to Asda.
Tiny flowers. If only they can fly like the dandelions.
那些年。
First fried rice in the UK. Clearly I have improved a lot since then.
First rain lol. It's so wet and gloomy here that I actually feel excited when the sun is out. Too bad now the sun sets so early.
Dinner - pan seared chicken breast with mashed potatoes, beans and carrots.
Brunch - fry everything you have in the fridge, in this case I had chicken breast, mushrooms, tomatoes, capsicum, ham. And tortellini with mushroom soup. I am amazed that I used to put in so much effort in cooking last time, now I just use 2 ingredients - meat (protein) + pasta / rice (carb).
Time to go back to work. Till then.
