My mum's birthday is in January, but unfortunately I had to miss out on 2 of her birthdays consecutively because I am not in Malaysia :( That's the thing about studying abroad, you miss out on most of the things going on in Malaysia - parents' birthdays, friends' birthdays, friends' weddings etc, and the list goes on. Oh well.
Since I don't get to celebrate it with my mum, I thought I would just take some time to edit the photos of her birthday in 2014 (Yes I know I am slow in editing photos. Let's just say I am busy.) We celebrated her birthday at El Cerdo, because her friend from Singapore came over and they wanted to meet up.
Personally I don't really like the place because most of their dishes are pork (I am not sure if they serve any other meat) and I can get bored of pork. But since her friend's sister works there, so off we went.
This is quite a nice combination. I had never thought that honey dew can go so well with pork.
Pork ribs.
Some spicy soup.
The suckling pig. This is the dish that almost everyone who had been to El Cerdo would order; this is the dish which you can hear customers smashing plates. If I am not mistaken by smashing the plates you get rid of the bad luck you had and since it's my mum's birthday, why not?
Dessert.
Some cocktail with ginger. Not bad.
So sleepy I am actually dozing off as I type this. Back to my bed for now. Till then.
