Back! & Preah Ko temple

So… I’m back!  Like back in Malaysia and back to blogging after a long hiatus which somewhat seems like a year, well almost, since it’s about half a year ago since my last post.

Gonna continue with what I had left off, my Cambodia trip.  As you can see from my title, it’s gonna be more about the temple visits, I hope I had not bored anyone with those boring temples?  Well, I love all these old temples and exploring them has always been on my bucket list.  But again, I have to say some of the temples ARE boring, so maybe I should feel relieved that I did not choose to do archaeology.

One of the broken pieces that used to be the pillar or a drawing on one of the structure of the temple.

It is rather impressive to think that most of the temples are built centuries ago, and yet they are still standing strong until today.  Unlike the houses nowadays, the roof can get blown off by strong wind lol.

As you can see, some of them are so old and chipped away that they are at the verge of falling apart.  Luckily they have a conservation team working on restoring the temple to its original image.

Here you can see the mixture of old bricks and the new ones.  Good job

Preah Ko temple is one of the temples which are known as the Roluos group temples.

And this is the end of the first temple that I had visited.  More temples photos coming soon.
