Angkor Silk Farm

Had to catch a flight at 6am because my dad doesn’t want to waste half a day on the plane, so by the time we reach Cambodia it was only 10am LOL.  Was so sleepy by the time we reach, and I was very hungry too, but before we head to our hotel to unload our stuffs we had to go to the Angkor Silk Farm first because it was more convenient to do so.  With a sleepy head and an empty stomach I was not very willing to move, not to mention taking photos (should have fed me first).

Ants making a nest out of leaves by folding the leaves in.  Imagine the amount of ants crawling out if you were to open it up.  Eww.

What is a silk farm without silk worms?  Ugh

Why mum why...

Apparently those are the eggs that are going to hatch into tiny silk worms.

And these are the worms crawling out of the eggs.

Natural colouring is used to dye the silk.

Tying the silk to form some pattern.

Looks really complicated.

Trying to weave the strands of silk into a cloth.  Pretty cool.

Woah look at the number of sticks, must have taken her years of practice to be able to do it without mixing them up.

The food was ok only, but this was the best.  Most of the fishes here are freshwater fishes thanks to the huge Tonle Sap.

Will be uploading the others soon.  Meanwhile, I’m going to continue watching Nikita.
